Freemasons in the Transatlantic World in the long eighteenth century
QC’s 2018 US Conference & Symposium at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial
The conference program comprises two and a half days of lectures and discussions beginning in the morning of Friday, 14 September, and concluding around noon on 16 September. A gala dinner takes place in the evening of Saturday, 15 September. The full program will be posted here in due course.
The conference is being held at the outstanding George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia, on the outskirts of Washington D.C. More information on the venue and its surroundings is available here.
The academic committee of the conference comprises Professors Susan Sommers, Mark Wallace, Paul Monod and Jessica Harland-Jacobs. The lectures and seminars will focus on Transatlantic and Anglo-American Freemasonry during the long eighteenth century, and include studies of freemasons in and from Britain, Ireland, North America and the Caribbean.
The steering group for the conference comprises Susan Sommers (Academic), Mark Tabbert (GWMNM, Alexandria) and Ric Berman (Finance, Sales/Marketing and UK liaison).
